MEET OONA

I am originally from Salina, Kansas. I moved to San Jose in 2002 and in 2017 made Morgan Hill our home. I have two children of my own.

I started my ISR journey in 2017 when a longtime friend lost her child to drowning. I quickly learned drowning is the leading cause of injury death among children ages 1-4, and I wanted to do anything I could to change this statistic. I joined the mission of ‘Not One More Child Drowns' and became an ISR instructor. Since becoming an instructor, I have had the honor of teaching 718 students.

 

It is truly amazing to watch an infant independently roll on their back, float, and breathe. Equipping children with the survival skills they need in and around water is my passion. I look forward to teaching your children in 2026!

Miss Oona is the ABSOLUTE BEST!!! I rarely write reviews but it is so important that people know how amazing Oona is. This is our third year of doing ISR and third instructor.
